Pokemon 3900 Factions Contest!!!! OPEN!!!Hello everyone and thank you for coming. Today is the day and I am very excited to present to all of you POKEMON 3900 FACTIONS!!!! Over the last few months I have created a great number of characters with different ideals and ways they think they can improve the nature of their life styles. At P3900's very core its all about what a group of people are willing to do to make their quality of life better. Of course not every person is going to think that one person's ideas are the correct course of action so this creates a conflict. While in real life conflicts are very difficult to deal with, in fantasy they are what makes a story worth telling and listening to. Name: Nick "Spazmo" Johansen
Species: Furret

Class: Star Pilot

Personality:
He is a cheerful, Jolly-natured Polivian that enjoys hanging out with his friends and having a good time. He is very active and athletic, and particularly enjoys participating in physical activities such as sports. He doesn't mix well with bullies or posh people. He also has a poor opinion of the Bandits Of Fortune, considering them as little more than a "bunch of kleptos", and will address any and all of its members by the derogatory name 'Klepto'.
'Spazmo' is actually his nickname, originating in his sometimes erratic behaviour, which shows in his unusual flight patterns and dogfighting tactics, making him an unpredictable opponent in a fight.
His fun-loving personality often conflicts with those who are more stern and serious, and many people who have worked with him consider him to be 'rude and immature' at best, and at worst, completely insane. He is generally quite a nice and forgiving guy, and it's not very often that he will show a serious or malicious side. It generally takes something very serious and hurtful to bring it out in him.

Bio:
The second child of a rich entrepeneur, He is a freelance test pilot for the family business, which makes its living designing and building vehicles for the Royal Armed Forces, ranging from mechs to small starships. His father is an Aeronatical Physicist, and is the chief designer for his own company. His mother handles the financial side of the company, and is a very capable businesswoman. His older sister takes after their father, and intends to inherit the company when their father retires. His younger brother joined up in the Royal Armed Forces, currently being trained as an Elite Soldier.
Spazmo himself showed an interest in flying at an early age, and joined the Royal Navy as a fighter pilot. However, after just five years, he was dishonerably discharged for reckless misconduct.
While looking for another job, he became a test pilot for his father's company, and has gained much experiance in handling a broad variety of vehicles.
He finally found a spot as a starship pilot for the Soldiers Of Exploration, and he has been working with them ever since, more for the enjoyment of it rather than the pay. He still works part-time for his family when he gets the chance however, as seen by the fact that he is currently field-testing his father's latest design.

Skills:
Despite outwardly appearances, he is an extremely talented pilot, and is widely regarded as one of the best in the galaxy. While he is capable of piloting anything from a small mech to a large starcruiser, his specialty and passion lies with starfighters, and it shows in the fact that he was top of his class in the Navy. It was his personality which got him discharged, not his lack of skill.
He also has considerable athletic abilities, and while he is capable of holding his own in a fight, he generally prefers to fight from mechs or vehicles.

Appearance:
Spazmo is 5ft 9inches tall, and weighs 174lb (79kg).
He has cream fur with brown stripes, brown hair and brown eyes. He almost never touches his hairstyle, so it's generally scruffy and unkept.
He commonly wears a white flightsuit with gold accents and a large gold eagle emblazoned on the chest; gold-coloured boots; and occasionally wears pitch-black sunglasses when it's sunny.

Eon Class Starfighter

Designed and built by Spazmo's father's multi-billion dollar corporation, and intended to enter service with the Royal Armed Forces to replace the previous design in the role of a high-performance superiority fighter, the Eon-Class represents the latest in Royal Sect starfighter technology. It features numerous design innovations, such as an updated Radar system and up-to-date avionics. It has a very stiff and rugged construction, which allows it to withstand considerable punishment. It is designed to be able to operate either in space or in an atmosphere, however it requires a carrier ship to move about from planet to planet.

Its main armament consists of two 20 mm energy cannons located in the lower section of the main fuselage, which can fire at 120 rpm, and can generaly destroy a small fighter in as little as three hits (5 or 6 if the target is shielded). Allow me to define the difference between an ENERGY cannon and a LASER cannon. Lasers are pin-point, armour-piercing precision weapons that punch holes in things and carefully disect them piece by piece. Energy cannon bolts explode on impact with anything, designed to rip apart and cause gleefully unnessesary wanton destruction.

It's most powerful weapon however is the large semi-automatic railgun bolted underneath. This leviathan is one of the few remaining projectile weapons in existence, firing depleted-uranium slugs up to 5 inches in diameter at just a fraction under the speed of light, and is arguably one of the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. When fired, powerful electromagnetic 'rails' alongside the barrel vastly increase the velocity of the projectile, slingshotting it with enough kinetic energy to punch clean through anything short of a small moon, and is incredibly accurate over immense distances to boot. It's main drawbacks are that its magazine can only hold four rounds at a time, and ammunition is in short supply as it is, so this weapon must be used sparingly; Also the electromagnetic rails require large amounts of energy to power, so the aircraft's performance is significantly reduced for a brief period of time when charging the weapon. Because it is also fixed to the aircraft, it takes considerable skill to aim and fire accurately. It has vicious recoil, and constant firing can disrupt the structural integrity of the airframe if the pilot is not careful.
The railgun is removable, being held in place by five large bolts, and the Eon Class's modular hardpoint can be fitted with other weapons such as an energy bomb dispenser, or a guided-missle pod for example. Such configurations however, will only be available to the Royal Armed Forces. Also, there are only two railguns in existence, making them an extremely rare and valuable piece of equipement. The other example is currently being reverse-engineered by the Royal Sect to go into limited production to be fitted on warships.

Its radar has a range of up to 400,000 miles when in space, and can track and lock onto several targets at a time. It can distinguish fighters from ships by their size and density, and can link to the aircraft's weapon system for accurate targeting precision.
The aircraft's deflector shields are also of fairly recent design. They are strongest from directly in front and from directly behind, and can take a considerable amount of damage before failing.

In the event of an emergency, the forward cockpit section can be jettisoned, and can sustain life support for up to 72 hours. The pilot must rely on rescue crews for an effective recovery, depending on the location of the incident. The onboard computer can also trigger the ejection if it detects that the aircraft is in danger of crashing, falling apart, ect.
The design is not yet in full production, but there are currently three built so far. It will be possible to order one for private ownership, however it is expensive to purchase, build and maintain, so it's not really worth it unless you're royalty.

This particular aircraft is a prototype, to be field-tested by the company's freelance test pilot, Spazmo, and it is his to keep. Maintenance is fairly quick and easy, so it only requires a small team to keep one in top notch. A complete post-flight service and turnaround, including reloading the weapons (with the exception of the railgun), can be completed within just one and a half hours.
When testing is complete, the data he gathers throughout his travels will be assessed and utilised in the design. While the prototype is a highly capable fighter in its own right, the actual production version will be considerably superior to this aircraft, and will be a hyper-lethal opponent in the hands of a capable pilot.
